History
The estate goes back to a long-established family business of the Mittelhaardt. Originally run as an agricultural and winegrowing operation, the house specialised consistently in viticulture after the Second World War – a path many estates in the region took at that time.
The signature of today is shaped by brothers Michael and Thomas Andres, who have run the family business together in this constellation since around 2015. They stand for a clear, hands-on course: organic viticulture, reduced yields and a restrained approach in the cellar. Location & terroir
The estate sits in Deidesheim on the German Wine Route, in the very heart of the Mittelhaardt. The climate here is mild and sun-blessed; the Haardt ridge, the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest, shelters the vines from weather extremes and ensures long, even ripening.
The vineyards are spread across several villages of the Mittelhaardt – besides Deidesheim also Forst, Ruppertsberg and Königsbach. This spread brings together a great diversity of soils: from limestone and coloured sandstone to more clayey, loamy sections. It is exactly this small-scale variety that lets the estate draw out different characters from the individual sites – sometimes taut and mineral, sometimes full and elegant.

Otherwise the estate draws on the interplay of its parcels spread across the Mittelhaardt: from estate wines for easy enjoyment through village wines to expressive single-vineyard wines and sparkling. The range thus reaches from a clear everyday Riesling under 12% vol. to deep, site-driven wines.
